The latest HIV & AIDS Surveillance of the Philippines (Oct–Dec 2025) report highlights both progress and urgent gaps in our national response.

By the end of 2025, an estimated 252,800 Filipinos are living with HIV, yet only 61% have been diagnosed, 66% of those diagnosed are on treatment, and 57% of those on ART are virally suppressed.

Young people remain heavily affected — with 32% of new cases among ages 15–24 and 45% among ages 25–34 2025_Q4 HIV AIDS Surveillance R…. Sexual contact continues to be the leading mode of transmission (96% of cumulative cases).

While viral suppression among those tested is high (97%), testing coverage and treatment retention remain critical gaps.

At EmpowerQueer Hub, we believe data must translate into action:

• Strengthening youth-led prevention
• Expanding community-based testing and PrEP access
• Supporting treatment literacy and adherence
• Advocating for inclusive, stigma-free services

Ending HIV is possible — but only if communities, especially LGBTQIA+ and key populations, are placed at the center of the response.
